Dear All, The message just forwarded to the list by Gabriel at Voices (subject "Fw: Day of Prayer for Iraq 6/8/00") contained the 'Melissa' virus in the Microsoft Word documents that were attached to it. Do not open the attachments without first disinfecting with a virus checker. If you have opened the documents, depending on how Word was set-up, you might have been warned that the files contained macros. If you chose not to open the macros, you are safe. Otherwise, you could be infected, so get hold of a virus checking program and scan your computer. Avoiding viruses is one of the reasons we ask people not to send messages with attachments (of any kind) to the list. PLEASE DO NOT EVER SEND MESSAGES WITH ATTACHMENTS TO THE LIST UNLESS YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE LIST MODERATOR.
