The Drums of war are beating faster and lauder. The world is shaking with the pounding pace of
US–UK military deployment and international structures of power and economics are being wrenched
and forcibly recast. The US is arming puppet regimes in the Middle East into supporting its
imperialist goals.

After twelve years of war and killer sanctions, more than one million people in Iraq have died, the
country’s infrastructure has been mainly destroyed and Iraq has bled to its weakest position. The
open attack is already on: air attacks have escalated in the last five months, the CIA has stepped
up covert operations and "psychological campaigns" by dropping millions of leaflets within Iraq.

The UN resolution 1441 and the inspection campaign are not "constraining" the US–UK war machines.
They were created as an elaborate scheme of manoeuvres to produce a legal pretext for war. This is
not a plan for avoiding war, this is a plan for justifying war. What the UN inspection regimen does
is to place Iraq in a "die-if-you do, die-if-you don’t" trap that serves the US–UK preparations for
war. The UN resolution and weapon inspections are designed to disguise US–UK war moves as some act
of the "world community".

The gangster logic of "with us or against us" is in full operation on a world scale. The five
permanent members of the UN Security Council (US, UK, France, China and Russia) are the producers
of nearly all "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and they are the ones who have waged wars and sold arms
all over the world making our planet an unsafe place. The people and their desires are not
represented anywhere in their Sordid negotiations and war preparations. In fact, the vast majority
of people on this planet oppose this war.

Millions of people around the globe have spoken out in resistance to this war saying that this is
"Not in our Name!", yet Bush and Blair continue their moves towards war, showing that despite their
claim to represent democratic will of the people, in fact they represent a handful of imperialists.
In the US and European imperialist countries there is the widespread feeling that many innocent
people will die, this is about oil and global power, something awful is happening and the
governments justification’s are just lies. In the Middle East puppets of the US speak of danger of
"explosion" among the people, and the people speak of US-UK plundering the region and the
occupation of Palestine.

There is no legitimacy in the war that US-UK are preparing to launch, no matter what Bush, Blair,
other heads of states, or the UN says. The US and the UK governments have no right to launch an
attack on Iraq. They say Saddam Hussein is a dictator. The only difference is that the new regime
will oppress the Iraqi people and plunder the country’s oil resources directly for and on the
orders of the US rulers.

There is no justice in this imperialist war of aggression. We must not accept this, we must take
matters in our own hands and make it clear to people around the world that this war is not being
done in our name and act on our own initiative powerfully to resist this war.
