UN Resolution on Iraq Needs to Be Implemented Sooner. MOSCOW, January 21 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said it is important to create conditions sooner for the implementation of the U.N. Security Council's resolution 1284 and restoration of the United Nations cooperation with Baghdad in the disarmament area “with a clear understanding that this is aimed for the supension of sanctions against Iraq.“ “Otherwise, the Iraqi settlement may be stalled again, and the situation regarding Iraq and in the Persian Gulf zone may begin to deteriorate toward a crisis again,“ Ivanov said during a meeting with Kuwaiti state minister for foreign affairs Suleiman Majid al-Shaheen, on a working visit here. > ---------------------------------------------------------- yourname@increase-da-peace.co.uk Get an Ali G themed email address now - only from http://www.funmail.co.uk
