Dear friends, I am eager to find the origin of the following quote, which John Pilger cites. " Few of us can easily surrender our belief that society must somehow make sense. The thought that the State has lost its mind and is punishing so many innocent people is intolerable. And the evidence has to be internally denied. " --Arthur Miller, playwright I've also heard that Arthur Miller wrote something on Iraq sanctions. If anyone has any leads on either of these, it would be very helpful. I am sourcing this for a book on Iraq that I am editing (to be published in Spring by Pluto and South End Press).
