24 Hour Picket of Parliament and Rally



CALL FOR AN  END TO THE SANCTIONS ON IRAQ:
COME AND SUPPORT the 24-hour PICKET
OUTSIDE THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT
Thursday 22 February to Wednesday 28 February 2001
to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the end of the Gulf War.

The picket will take place along the pavement on Parliament Square, London
SW1, directly opposite Parliament, and opposite the Carriage Gates.
Nearest Underground Station: Westminster (Jubilee/District/Circle Lines)
Strategic times are 11am-3pm and 8pm -11pm on weekdays, when MPs will be
arriving and leaving the House of Commons. However the vigil continues
through each night and the weekend so anyone who can do the night shift will
be very welcome !
Shelter, some hot drinks and food will be provided.
Bring friends, banners, whistles, warm and waterproof clothes, umbrellas,
food etc

RALLY : 'NO MORE WAR, NO MORE SANCTIONS'
Speakers invited include: George Galloway MP, Rt. Hon. Tony Benn MP, Tam
Dalyell MP, John Pilger, Victoria Brittain.
Wednesday 28 February 2001 from 7.30 - 9.30pm
in the Grand Committee Room, House of Commons, to which everyone is welcome.
