RE: von Sponeck/Halliday statement on smart sanctions

Dear Rania

Sorry for not adding notes earlier. I'm trying to finish the voices
newsletter in the next two hours.

This statement was submitted to the NYT and the Guardian. So far
they have not responded to pressure to publish. More pressure on
either/both very welcome.

Hans von Sponeck asked me to keep trying with the Guardian after
he left, but also gave me permission to use it publicly other. I've given
up on the Guardian myself. Hence releasing it.

So: status is unpublished so far.

Cheers

Mil
