[casi] al-Salahi book about 1991 Iraqi intifada?

The book is called "al-Zilzal" (The Earthquake).

Table of contents and precis are at:

http://www.nahrain.com/d/culture/zilzal/

(author usually transliterated as Salihi or Salhi not Salahi)

I haven't read the book (and would be interested in hearing from anyone
who has, too), but it was praised by David J. Scheffer, US
Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Issues, for being "one of courage and
hope for the people of Iraq".

Given that Salihi was leading an armoured brigade for the Iraqi state
against the uprising (as he did again in March 1995, against the INC's
slight uprising), whatever does Scheffer mean?

Glen.
