[casi] Australians want UN backing for Iraq war

Only 6 per cent of Australians are prepared to send Australian troops to
war against Iraq without United Nations backing, an exclusive poll in
today's The Age newspaper has found.

The AC Nielsen AgePoll reveals that 62 per cent of respondents said
Australia should be involved in a conflict only if approved by the UN.

One in three believed war against Iraq was not acceptable under any
circumstances.
