Blair's speech is very worrying - he's trying to save his own skin. Whereas Bush did actually allow for the possibility of SH staying in power - the first time by any president since the Gulf War - Blair has now moved the other way. A powerful rebuff to Blair's approach is the point that the US/UK are responsible for more Iraqi deaths than SH. Blair is quite happy to talk to Iraqi refugees and use them for his own ends. Has he yet talked to Denis Halliday or Von Sponeck about the devastation of the sanctions?
