Re: [casi] Who thrives on this war?

Noasalira,

I feel that you are spot on in your assertion that African Americans'
historic mistreatment at the hands of this cabal lies at the root of the
alacrity with which they have shown solidarity with the latest unwilling
inductee into the "White Man's Burden" club.
Diana, the mere presence of what any honest observer would have to
characterize as an underrepresentative, co-opted token population of people
of colour in the Bush Administration in no way addresses the central point:

African Americans alone have continuosly experienced for hundreds of years
the sheer violence, exploitation and repression that this most violent,
exploitative and repressive group of men glory in criminally exerting. This
is not up for debate, nor is it a racist assertion. It is an empircal
statement of fact. And it is for that reason that they are more likely to
identify with and help to resist its reinvigorated application to this new
population.

Southeast Asians enjoyed WMB Membership for about 30 years, and African
Americans' actions both at home and abroad during the Viet Nam War Era
further support Noasalira's assertion.

This solidarity is not, however, ironic. Rather it is the most natural of
all human reactions. And it is the foundation upon which any meaningful
movement to wrest control from the cabal must be built.
