Re: [casi] Birmingham Events.

Would love to be in Birmingham on the 29th.. unable to fly into town. Will
have to make do with Monbiot's fine essay posted here earlier, and BBC4 next
Tuesday:

Tuesday June 17
09:00 On The Ropes
John Humphrys talks to more high fliers who have experienced turbulent
times.

George Galloway: The flamboyant anti-war MP who stands accused of being in
the pay of Saddam Hussein and has been suspended from the Labour Party amid
allegations of treachery.

Dear All (mainly UK people) on List,

I have recently been asked to pass on information about any (major) events
taking place in Birmingham,
which I am happy to do. Here goes:

Public Meeting, 'British Politics at the CrossRoads?' 6 pm, Sunday 29th
June 2003. The Council House,
Victoria Square, Birmingham City Centre. Tickets £2 & £1, Refreshments
provided. Speakers:

George Galloway MP

Salma Yaqoob - B'ham Stop the War Coalition

John Rees - Socialist Alliance

That's the info I've got. If you want to know more, the Information Line is:

Looks like a great evening! If you're not local, welcome to Birmingham!

Greetings, Bert G.
