Andrea Needham in Dublin

Campaign to End Iraq Sanctions invites you to a public meeting
---------------------------------------------------------------

When: Monday, 9 Oct. at 7 PM

Where: Teachers Club, Parnell Square

Speaker: Andrea Needham

Andrea has been actively involved with the organisation, 'Voices in the
Wilderness', which is campaigning for the ending of 10 years imposed
sanctions on the Iraqi people. She has taken part in many sanctions breaking
delegations to Iraq, risking a goal sentence of up to five years for this
'crime'

On the night of January 29th, 1996 Andrea and three other women, broke
into a high security hanger in Warton, England and dis-armed a Hawk Jet
Fighter which was to be exported to the Indonesian military. Nobel peace Prize
Winner Dr. Jos Ramos-Horta, the East Timor Leader in exile, was one of those
who gave evidence for the women at their trial. The jury found them not guilty,
accepting
their defence that they had acted to prevent the crime of genocide - and they
were set free, having spent six months on remand.

All are welcome
