Dear Salwa, To be brutally honest, the last thing we need is the counsel of despair you seem to be advocating. What do you suggest we all do - what is your response? To cheer & support the war-mongers, whilst waiving the Union Jack/Star Spangled Banner? Or simply to allow yourself to join the brigades of the apathetic, possibly waiting until 95% of the population denounce the war so you, conveniently then can conform? I'm sorry to have to say it, but your sense of 'futility' is a 'luxury' we can well do without! Come on, Salwa, get yourself a life!!! Bert. PS. Futile words, futile demonstrations - what about futile e-mails (maybe this one!)? >From: "Salwa de Vree" <sdevree@email.com> >To: soc-casi-discuss@lists.cam.ac.uk >Subject: going... going... gone. >Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2001 01:37:56 +0200 > > >Dear Casi Colleagues, > >What are we doing?
