Dear Boris, The most informative book that I have read on the functioning of the 661 Committee in the early years is Paul Conlon's "United Nations Sanctions Management". He was involved with the committee on the secretariat side and wrote a very scathing review of its early years. If the source response for the earlier remarks has anything to add to this, I shall be happy to forward those comments to this list.
