What can I do to help?

There are many ways you can help work towards a lifting of economic sanctions on Iraq.

  • Make contact with anti-sanctions campaign groups in your country to ensure you stay informed about new developments and campaigns. Many of them have e-mail lists you can join.

  • Learn more about sanctions so that you can spread the word: the greater the public awareness of the consequences of sanctions on Iraq, the greater the pressure on the UN Security Council to lift the economic sanctions.

  • Write to or telephone your political representatives to let them know that you wish to see an end to economic sanctions on Iraq.

  • Support an anti-sanctions campaign group, either financially or by helping with their campaigning work.

For some other ideas, you may wish to look at "What can I do about sanctions on Iraq?" on the Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq's website and "What You Can Do To Help Lift Sanctions" on Voices in the Wilderness UK's website.
